A Good Tweet

News and Notes
Reminder that Grubhub (and other services like Doordash and Uber Eats), are evil and exploitation. While they claim to save local businesses, they are actually the reason local businesses fail. Also, they rob and overwork employees.
After fucking with party houses and shutting off utilities, LA is now pressing criminal charges against party houses.
Kanye said it best with Kendrick Lamar, No More Parties in L.A.
Wtf? Russian conspiracy to cripple Tesla with malware, busted by the FBI.
Best of the week
Brad: Time for a deep dive in Brad’s world of Left Twitter. TLDR: There can only be one true @HoarseWisperer Twitter Account and it is Good Now™.
You May have seen the Twitter Account The Hoarse Whisperer(the handle misspelled “wisperer”), an anonymous, liberal meme page which gained incredible popularity in recent years. It’s your standard #Resistance account, regurgitating greatest hits such as:
Orange Man Bad
Mr. Trump, resign, what you’re doing is illegal
and who could possibly forget:
Uhhhh, so this is apparently a thing: Russia much!?! Sir, this is a Wendy’s!
The specific brand of liberal #Resistance tweeting was, unsurprisingly, anti-progressive and anti-Sanders. So much so that this tweet made it onto MSNBC somehow:

As it turns out, The Hoarse Whisperer was anonymous for a reason. The man behind the account made a career out of being a marketing consultant for oil companies, Big Pharma, and the Health Insurance Industry. He appears to be continuing to do psy-op lobbying with his viral tweets! JK, it’s probably a coincidence that he is a Big Time Democrat yet he opposes M4A and the Green New Deal.
I Know what you’re thinking, but still, I doubt it is very common for viral liberal twitter personalities to have ties to big corporate interests. Seriously, what next, are you gonna try to tell me that The Lincoln Project is bad? Get real.
Don’t worry - the only important thing to say online is Trump=Cheeto!#KeepResisting
Okay. So best of the week time. Comedian Jack Allison, the man partially behind the “doxxing” of Hoarse, filed a trademark for “HoarseWisperer” and began using the brand as a way to raise money for progressive democrats in 2019 shortly after the MSNBC tweet incident.

Recently the trademark was granted to Allison. So the bad Hoarse Whisperer had to change his handle and the original handle was granted to the rightful owner of the trademark. Now, @Hoarsewisperer appears to be ironically doing Hoarse-style tweets and it is hilarious.

Dan: One of my best articles yet. Sent in by a listener! An excellent example of how Universities are hypocritical brands- willing to pay instagram influencers to attend (and voraciously blog), but at the same time, completely unwilling to admit that College Athletes deserve anything more than a free education and some ancillary benefits.
Letter to the RMYT Editor:
Nan Casey Comments on Age Restrictions in East Lansing Apartments
This is one of the topics I know RMYT readers would enjoy talking about. A big developer comes into East Lansing and cajoles the City Council to grant him building permits to build a huge monstrous) complex right in the heart of town. He agrees to make 25% of his housing available ONLY to seniors and low income individuals.
Fast forward to the current pandemic and economic insecurity and they want the City to release them from their obligation! Yup, can’t you just see the MSU students flocking to this high end rental? And I know I am old, but I found the rental fees exorbitant.
Personally, I can’t imagine the Courts siding with the developer . Imagine what chaos it would create with every other developer in East Lansing if they thought they could agree to building restrictions and then sue to get out of them.
Crazy. It’s a clear “breach of contract case”
Your highly esteemed divorce /corporate counsel is now branching out to other areas of the law ! Property law was the toughest class in law school ( in my opinion), far more difficult than the required course in taxation. In fact, they moved the class from first semester to second. Eons ago when I attended law school, it was one of
four required classes the very first semester .
I struggled with it and was rewarded with the first “C” I ever had in my entire life. If you want some idea how difficult it is, google the term “rule against perpetuity”. Eminent domain was another baffling concept to learn.
The other three classes which are considered essential first term classes in most every law school around the country are contracts, torts and legal research and writing. These are the “building block” classes you have to conquer before you can move on to other challenging classes
You can’t take an elective course until your third year. At that time, you can explore family law, transportation law -taught by Danny Patrick’s father for many years. I taught two classes over the years. One was in “Courtroom Trial Techniques” which was mandatory and the second was an elective that I can’t remember the name of! I do recall having one class on lobbying and having Danny Patrick’s Godfather , Dennis Muchmore as the guest speaker .
One interesting piece of trivia for RMYT readers is that Dennis owned his own lobbying firm in Lansing and went on to become the Chief of Staff for the Governor. He held one of the three most powerful positions in State Government. What were the other two? Take a guess .
And by the way, I never received another “C” and I was awarded the “Book Award” in Torts. Yes, they actually gave out a brand new treatise to the proud law student who had the highest grade in the class. Not surprisingly, the award was sponsored by West Publishing Company which made a pretty penny off law school books.
Think of the vast array of information imparted in one long boring article!
Until Next Time
